Aamir's Satyamev jayate, 3rd episode, "Dowry and condition of women"

Once again an awesome episode of Satyamev Jayate telecasted today. Aamir khan lifted another burning problem of Indian society in this (third) episode. It is “dowry system” such face of our society which we don’t like to see. But it is true; it is still live in our society. So being a part of our society it is our duty to make awareness in our society.

Aamir Khan has taken this responsibility on his shoulder to bring awareness in our society through his TV show and he is trying to do so.  As he had said in earlier episode; he will meet to related body. 

He met CM of Rajsthan and gave him support later of public in the case of girl fetus killing, so that the culprit can get punishment and a message goes in society; those who are indulging in such activity will get punishment.

In today’s episode some women took part who was victim of “dowry system”. Their story was very pathetic. It was beyond imagination that one can do so mean behavior and cruelty with his wife. People present in the studio and in front of TV got empathies.

It is hard to believe that such kind of people is living in our society who thinks marriage is a medium of earning money. They have no meaning of marriage. Wife is just a medium of earning money. Such kind of people should punish.

If he showed the bad aspect of society he also showed the attempt made by some people to get rid from this bad system. There is a village in our country where people have decided to do marriage in simple way; no any transaction. Result of their decision is very positive. For last 60 years there is no any dowry case.

Amir Khan’s effort reminds me one great person and great social worker of Indian history; “Raja Ram Mohan Roy” who had uprooted a cruel system called “Sati Pratha” centuries ago. In that tradition woman was burnt alive with her husband’s dead body.

I am not making any comparison with Raja Ram Mohan Roy. But Aamir Khan’s effort is admirable. He is a big film star. His film was to release in this month but he extended the date for this show. When other is busy to earn money he is trying to solve some national problems.
