Another magnificent episode of Satyamev Jayate. Once again Aamir Khan lifted an important issue of our country. Tropic was doctors and their behavior. He describe that there is both type of doctor in the county. One who respects his profession and does the right treatment and believe in human service. They are doing their duty very sincerely but there is also some doctor who converts this profession into business.
The main issue was behavior of such doctors who made this profession a business. They are not treating the patient in right way; if any patient can heal up by a medicine they are doing operation for getting more money. They have nothing to do with humanity. There was some victim of such doctor present there.
One victim described his story; he said that he has a small blister on his finger and the doctor cut off his finger, though his would was not healed up and he suffered from infection. He went under surgery four times but he was not cured. Lastly he consulted another doctor who treated him and he got heal up. The doctor said that there was not need of any surgery. It is so disgusting that a doctor cut patient’s finger, hand, leg or other organs when there is no need of it but is happening for earn more money.
There were some doctors and some people were invited in the program to throw some light on this issue. They said one of the causes of such type of phenomenon is private medical college, where a student spent 60 to 70 lakshs in seven years to get the license of a doctor. Such doctors are indulging in such activities. They want to get back his money soon so they adopt this way.
Another tropic related to medical profession is cost of medicine. There are two type of medicine in the market generic and branded. There is no difference in quality. Though Generic medicine is very cheap and branded medicine is very costly. Usually branded medicines are prescribed by doctors. There is big difference in cost of generic and branded medicine.
If branded medicine is cost Rs 100 then the cost of generic medicine is only Rs 1 or 2. But generic medicine is not available in Indian market. It is surprising that we are exporting generic medicine worth millions dollar but that medicine is not available in our coutry. Rajsthan is only state in country where there is some shop of generic medicine.
It should be available in every state so that low income people can buy it. There is many cases happened everyday in the country; people died of not getting medicine. If generic medicine would be available in the market many life can be saved.
Indeed, Aamir Khan is getting lots of love of people because he dares to raise such issue on the national level and he is getting abundant support. His effort seems to be effective. In the case of sexual child abuse case the government has passed the bill in the Rajshabha. He is doing very good job our support and well wished is with him.
