“Teri Mari Kahaani” has shown some improvement on Saturday and collected 5.50 crores. There was a slight jump in the collection and it has collected 5.10 crores on Friday.
In two day it has collected 13.00 crores worldwidely. Domestic collection of two days is 10.60 crores.
It seems as this film did not get the advantage of word of mouth. The story of this film is very sweet. A decent idea to show love of three different eras; One story of 1910, second of 1960 and third in 2012. How the trend and way of love got changed in about hundred years duration. But it seems as people is not much impressed with concept.
This concept was already used few years back by Imtiaz Ali in his film “Love Aaj Kal” and that film was super hit film. In that film love of two generation was shown and two different characters were played by two different persons. Whenever Saif Ali Khan had played the role of young Rishi Kapoor’s but female actress was different.
In “Teri Meri Kahaani” all three story is played by Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Since there is great difference of fifty years and hundred years in three stories so it may be cause of average performance of this film.
This film is appreciated by youth and family audiences in Maharashatra but in rest of country, it did not get the benefit of word of mouth. This film is getting competition from "Rowdy Rthore", "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" and 'Gangs of Wasseypur"
As the trend is developed it is expected that it will collect around 5-7 crores on Sunday and its weekend collection would be in the range of 15-17 crores.
