“Shanghai” has got a dull opening on Friday. The occupancy in the single screens was 25% and in multiplexes around 35-40%.
It has able to collect about 2.50 crores on its opening day. It is unexpected, Emraan Hashmi’s film is, often doing well in Delhi, CI and CP but occupancy in these places were also low. It seems as film has been not released on right time.
“Shanghai” is badly affected by “Rowdy Rathore”, new Hollywood releases Prosthemus and Madgascar-3 on opening day. Evening show of this film was affected somewhat by Euro Football. It is expected that it will improve on Saturday and Sunday.
Emraan Hashmi’s last three films Murder-2, Once Upon A Time and Jannat-2 was hit. This is his first off beat movie. Which did not get the love of audience It is expected that it will improve on Saturday and collect around 3-4 crores.
