Love Marriage, another good episode of Satyamev Jayate. It was fifth episode and Aamir Khan lifted another important issue of love marriage. He stated that love is very important aspect of love. This is an important aspect of any film, story and poetry. We cannot imagine a story without hero and heroin and their love. Any literature would have been incomplete if there would not be love.
Everybody like it but in real life the picture is just reverse of it. Indian society does not accept love marriage. Society is deadly against any inter-cast or inter-religion marriage. Whoever is going against the established rule and tradition of society is facing great trouble in their life even death in some cases.
Parents, family and society do not like a marriage with child’s own consent. If any boy or girl dares to go against these tradition. They have to pay a great cost of it even death in some cases. This type of cases are common in rural areas and small towns. Big cities are also not untouched with it, such type of case is also happened but very less.
Indian constitution is permitting, two people can get marriage whether he/she is from different cast and religion, if the age of boy is 21 years and age of girl is 18 years. They can get marriage or live together. Supreme Court says and encourages inter-religion marriage. But society is not permitting us to do this. Even in the case of love marriage, police is not supporting such marriage. They are giving support to guardian of boy and girl whenever they should be neutral. Parent becomes so cruel that they killed their own child on the name of honor.
Constitution is allowing marriage with anyone after get adult. In such case police should give support to lover pair because they are not doing any crime. They have not break any rule of country. But the reality is just opposite of it. Many cases happened every day in Indian but the situation is not improving. On the name of honor boy and girl are killed. Some victim of such cases was invited in the show and they described their story and shared with country.
Other related people were also called in this show and took part in this program. Aamir khan discussed with them and tried to know and cause. They talked to unelected punches of village that punished couple. On the whole this show was stupendous show and Aamir khan tried to throw light on another sensitive issue and ugly face our Indian society.
