Neerja performed
superbly in first week and collected 35.25 on home box office. As you know film received wonderful reviews
and great word of mouth. Film dominated box office entire week and left all
other films far behind. This is second clean hit of year 2016 after Airlift. In India, a female dominated film rarely does
well. Neerja is one of them.
Sonam Kapoor
is earning a great deal of appreciation from all over world. Whenever film maker
and entire team is celebrating success party. Film maker has announced to make sequel
of Neerja which would be biopic of Neerja Bhonote. Once again Sonam Kapoor will
play this character .
Now, let us
come to the point and talk about second weekend. Film took amazing jump of 60%
from Thursday and collected around 3 crores. Again film took big jump and
collected around 5 crore. After nine days films’ total collection is 43.25
crores. Film has also taken another big jump on Sunday and estimated figure is
around 5.5 to 6 crore.
So after 2nd weekend film’s total collection is 50
crores. Film is doing fairly well and running on the footstep of Airlift which
is still accumulating good amount from limited show.
First Week:- 35.25 crores, 2nd
weekend:- approximately 14 crore, Total Domestic Collection:- 49.25 overseas:-
10.50 and total worldwide collection:- 60 crores.
