Airlift crossed
100 crores mark on 10th day of its release and become first 100 crores film of
2016. This is happiest news for Akshay, film maker and film industry who were
expecting big start in New Year.
The film had
got nice review and excellent word of mouth. That’s why it flourished on the
box office on each coming days and continues fantastic business even on
weekdays. Though there are some new releases which occupied reasonable number
of screens but there is no affect on Airlit’s business.
If we talk
about second weekend business it has done fantastic business and collected 21
crores. The film took 30% jump on Friday and collected 4.50 crores nett,
further it took 40% jump on Saturday and collected around 7.30 crores, finally
it took another big jump on Sunday with house full board and collected
8.51 crores. Now total domestic
collection is 104 crores and total worldwide collection is more than 130
crores.
It is
expected that film will finish second week around 30 crores that would be
fantastic amount with respect to screen number. Since film is doing quite well
in second week so, in next week it will retail good number of screens. We hope
it will break Rowdy Rothor’s record.
