Raanjhana has completed first weekend
with reasonable figure. Film had started slowly in morning show on opening day
but grew further by positive word of mouth and showed jump in every show.
Film had taken decent jump on Saturday
and collected 6.75 crores but it took big jump on Sunday and collected around 8
crores. Now, total domestic collection is 19.65 crores which more than
expectation for a non-starrer film.
Though Dhanush is super star in south film
and he earned great fame with his song Cola Veri De as a singer but as an actor,
it is his debut film in Bollywood and his start is fantastic. He earned immense
appreciation of audience and critics. Besides him, Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol
also got appreciation of critics and audience.
The way film performed on weekend gives
indication that it will sustain well on weekdays and finish first week around
30 crores. Film will continues its journey for few weeks and soon get hit
status.
