Vicky Donor is latest movie released on last Friday. It is doing very well at domestic center and overseas. The film has collected a whopping Rs. 13.40 crores globally in it’s first week. At domestic center it collected 11.4 crores and at overseas center it collected 2 crores.
Vicky Donor is a romantic comedy between a Punjabi boy and a Bengali girl film. It is directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Actor John Abraham. There are Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor in the lead role. It was released on April, 20, 2012 on around 750 screens in India and received positive response worldwide. This film has been declared hit at the box-office.
The story of this film is based on the concept of sperm donation and infertility. The concept is set against the background of sperm donation and it could shed light on a serious issue that is still considered “taboo” in Indian society.
Despite the usual trend, John Abraham did not take up the leading role in the film. He said, “It was a conscious decision to not act in my first production because I believe producing a film is about creating quality content that I believe in”. Now he is receiving the result of patient and quality.
