“Fan” took good start
on Friday. Film started on average in the morning show and grows as day grew
and manages 19.20 crore on first day. This figure is little less than expected
whenever it got advantage of Ramnavi festival in north India. This is because this
is different type of film. A film about a super star and his fan without any
song. There is no lead actress as I had mentioned in last post “Will SRK’s Fanimpress Fan”.
If we talk about reviews then it is mixed to positive. Most
important aspect of any film is ‘word of mouth’ and future of film depends on
this. If we talk about performance film does well in multiples across the
country but little less in mass area. As you know Sahrukh Khan is king of
multiplex, usually most of his film does well in multiplexes. Now there is need
of big jump on weekend and it should take big jump on Saturday and Sunday.
As far as Saturday is concerned film started with 40-45% in
the initial show and expected to follow less of more Friday trends. So Saturday
should come around 20 cr or more. Film is also getting good competition with
Hollywood film “Jungle Book”.

1st day – 19.20 crore
2nd day – 20 crore (estimated)
