Jungle Book 2nd Friday, 8th Day Performance Super

Jungle Book rocks in India and about to emerge as first 100 crore Hollywood film. If it happens it would be biggest hit of any Hollywood film. It already emerged as second big hit of year after Akshay Kumar’s “Airlift” released in January before completing first week.

Indeed, film did fantastic business in first week and collected around 80 cores. Before release of SRK’s Fan, there was some suspense over screen count in second week but performance in first week help it to sustain a good number of screens that is why film did very well on second Friday and manage to collect 8 crores. 

Now it will finish second weekend around 30 crores and second week around 45 crore and sure to cross 100 crores bar. First Hollywood blockbuster in India.

Indeed film does very well and main reason behind this success is very familiar character and a long enough connection with Mogli, Baghira or other characters. People are connected with these character for last 25 years.

Fan Satuday/ 2nd day Trend & Friday 1st day performance/ Collection

 “Fan” took good start on Friday. Film started on average in the morning show and grows as day grew and manages 19.20 crore on first day. This figure is little less than expected whenever it got advantage of Ramnavi festival in north India. This is because this is different type of film. A film about a super star and his fan without any song. There is no lead actress as I had mentioned in last post “Will SRK’s Fanimpress Fan”.  

If we talk about reviews then it is mixed to positive. Most important aspect of any film is ‘word of mouth’ and future of film depends on this. If we talk about performance film does well in multiples across the country but little less in mass area. As you know Sahrukh Khan is king of multiplex, usually most of his film does well in multiplexes. Now there is need of big jump on weekend and it should take big jump on Saturday and Sunday.

As far as Saturday is concerned film started with 40-45% in the initial show and expected to follow less of more Friday trends. So Saturday should come around 20 cr or more. Film is also getting good competition with Hollywood film “Jungle Book”.

Jungle Book - 1st Week Business Surprizing eveyone

Jungle Book brings back Indian people in 90’s decade when it was animated as a cartoon film on Indian television. The title song, “Jungle jungle baat chali hai, Pata chala hai, Chaddi pahan ke phool khila phool khila hai” was on the lip of every Indian and still people recall it with great pleasure. This animated series is all time blockbuster cartoon series. Now, Hollywood brought it on silver screen. 

The film did outstanding performance on first weekend in India and emerged as one of the big Hollywood hit in India. The film was released last Friday with tremendous opening of nett 10.09 crores despite tough competition with Hindi films. “Jungle Book” got advantage of holyday in Maharashtra on Saturday and did well. On the whole film showed good growth about 30% on second day and satisfied with 13.51 crore nett.

Once again it showed big leap around 30% on Sunday and collected huge 16.87 crores. Film did tremendous business on first weekend and collected 40.50 crore nett on Indian box office. It continues   stunning performance on weekdays and emerged as 2nd biggest earner film of the year after “Airlift”. Jungle Book collected 87 crores in India.

If it continues last week’s magic in second week and compete with one of the big film of year “Fan” starrer Shahrukh Khan. It can cross benchmark of 100 crore in India. If it happens it will be first Hollywood film to do so. In simple word Jungle Book is blockbuster in India as well as whole world. We will soon come back with worldwide business of Jungle Book.

Will Shahrukh's "Fan" impressed SRK's Fan? Hit or Flop

Here is good news for film lovers, especially for Shahrukh Khan’s fans. Shahrukh Khan’s first film of 2016 sets to release on 15th April, 2016 that means film will release tomorrow. This is one of the most awaited films of the year. The film is supposed to hit 3700-3800 screens across the country. This is biggest release of year 2016 after Akshay Kumar's  “Airlift” which is biggest hit of year till today.

If we talk about film “Fan”; this is a thriller film directed by “Band Baja Barat” fame director Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films. It is produced by Adiya Chopra. Story has been written down by Habib Faisal. The story of the film moves around a fan of superstar. Both characters played by Shahrukh Khan himself. This is USP of film but darkest aspect of film is that there is no leading actress which is supposed to be an essential part of any film. Let’s see how King Khan fulfils this space and how audience takes it.Will he impressed his fan followers or fail? Time will answer it.

Whereas certification is concerned film got U/A certificate with run time of around 2 hours and 23 minutes. Since film hit around 4000 screens so it is sure to cross 100 crores marks. Film has already created enough buzz and advance booking is also satisfactory so there is great chance of getting earth shattering opening.

Budget: though there is no official announcement about budget but it is expected to be around 80-90 crores  anf theatrical right sold out around 45 crores for domestic and overseas

First day collection:- Though film hits around 4000 screens so opening should be around 20 crores. First weekend around 60-80 crores. First week  around 100-110.  It is expected figure but real figure will appear tomorrow by word of mouth.
