Afzal Guru hanged on Saturday

Mohamammed Afzal Guru, main convict of Parliament attack hanged on Saturday morning at 8 am at Tihar jail. Few days ago his family’s mercy petition was rejected by President Pranav Mukharjee. The government informed his family about their decision.



The news is confirmed by Home Minister Sushil Kumar Sinde who said, “The convict was hanged at 8 am.” For the security reason, curfew was imposed in the Kahsmir Valley in the morning hour today.



Afzal Guru, was a Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist and he was mastermind of Parliament attack on 13th December, 2001. Five terrorists were entered Parliament premises and had opened fire in the premises when session was in progress. All of them were killed by police.
